Archaeologicalwanderings.wordpress.com Deleted

"archaeologicalwanderings.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site". It only had one author, an archaeologist who wrote some pretty trite and ill-considered things about patting detectorists on the head, and refused to engage in any discussion with an alternative point of view.

Here are my responses:
Sunday, 2 March 2014, 'Archaeological Wanderings on "Metal Detecting" (1)',
Sunday, 2 March 2014, 'Archaeowanderings on "Metal Detecting" (2)',
Sunday, 2 March 2014, 'Wandering through the detecting minefield (4)',
(there was no third part - too distressing)
Wednesday, 19 March 2014, '
Questions Pro-Collecting Archaeologists Avoid Thinking About',
I commented in the last:
THIS is the state of the academic debate on the portable heritage in Britain today. The professionals think they can offer some passive stop-gap measures, spin their results and if they persist in ignoring any voices questioning what they are doing, the problem will perhaps go away.
Or if they are really stuck for answers they can just delete what they said. Like the tekkies do.
